Even though I’ve written several blogs, I still consider myself to be kind of a newbie at blogging. Take today for instance. I haven’t gotten to the point of prewriting posts and scheduling them. I’ve been thinking about what to write about for days now.
Should I write about how I can’t agree with most people that immigration is the most important issue for Americans this election year? At least, that’s what those elusive polls tell us. And who’s taking these polls anyway? I never have. Have you? In my humble opinion it should be women’s rights because that’s what is at stake here isn’t it? The elimination of women’s rights by a bunch of mostly white, mostly male, Christian nationalists.
It always seems to circle back to hypocrisy. They claim to be “pro-life” yet they deny children food during the summer. Child care costs keep going higher. Parents still aren’t able to take decent maternity leave. I could go on.
Meanwhile, here is what’s on the easel. It’s in what we call the “monkey” stage. Is it done? If I keep working on it, will I ruin it? My plan is to repost it later in the week. When it’s done. Maybe.
