Things stink right now. For the past two weeks, I’ve been doom-scrolling every day. That’s so not healthy. It drains my energy and keeps me stuck in a cycle of negativity. For one thing, it makes me feel helpless. I’ve decided to do something else with my time (in addition to making art). 

I never had the opportunity to attend art school. I had children at a very young age and ended up raising a family instead. So, I thought, why not send myself back to school? There is so much information and material available online that it is absolutely possible to be self-taught. There are tons of websites and videos and books just on art history alone.

The intention is to learn. The best way to do that is by reading and writing. I will admit that there will be times I use AI to assist but, for the most part, learning will be old school. Topics covered will be art history, famous paintings, techniques, and mediums (different materials used in making art).

I invite you to join me and encourage you to try creating something of your own. Don’t worry, there won’t be assignments. I’ll just be sharing some (hopefully) fascinating tidbits of information. Feel free to use it to impress your friends.
