As You Float Along, 20"x24", Acrylic on Canvas

I didn't post last week thanks to COVID. If you think it's over, you would be wrong. Fortunately, I'm healthy and vaccinated so it was about like a bad flu. Still, not fun. I didn't feel much like creating. That's about what it takes. Otherwise I feel the need to create nearly every day.

Anyway, as I was recovering I read an article about how art education is so important to our youth. I considered becoming an art teacher at one time. I just couldn't get past the algebra. I also read an article about how being creative slows the aging process. The thing is, it doesn't necessarily have to be making art. Even gardening can be creative. Dancing, writing, even singing in the shower.

Another really great way to be creative is through cooking. In fact as a favor to you all, here is a ground beef recipe because who doesn't need another ground beef recipe? You can adjust the amounts to serving size and taste.

Saute about half an onion and green pepper if you have it til soft. I always season them with salt and pepper. Add the ground beef and some garlic and brown. Add a can of beefy mushroom soup and a can of tomatoes (I like to use fire roasted tomatoes). Throw in some seasoning such as thyme, parsley, oregano, onion powder, and some red pepper flakes. Salt and pepper to taste. I purposely left off the measurements because why? So you can get creative!
